For more than 75,000 subscribers on YouTube, Chad and Tori Masters are the Florida-based newlyweds with content that feels like a warm hug, featuring many heart-to-heart chats about the single life, dating, marriage and more.

“So much of our community is going through super hard times right now,” Chad told The Post. “I think it helps that people can come to our channel and not get a sermon or self-help talk — it’s not a TED Talk — this is just us chatting and trying to figure it out together, and I think that makes people feel connected.”

Chad encouraged his wife to film her first YouTube video after many of their Instagram followers were asking for advice and answers to popular questions about life and love. “When I was around 20, I was like, ‘If I had a great mentor in my life, things would be a bit different,’” Tori told The Post. “I wish I had someone to look up to that was making wise choices and we knew we wanted to be those mentors to encourage and inspire.”

The couple also shares personal stories on their daily podcast “The Messy Masterpiece with Tori & Chad.” This week, they hit one million downloads from their worldwide audience.

Interestingly enough, Chad and Tori have always loved the camera. Tori graced the Miss America stage as Miss Florida 2014 (3rd runner-up to the crown, too) and Chad was formerly a model. Now, their photoshoots and filming sessions are videos of advice and their recent house build in the Sunshine State.

“For us, this home is being built for community and not just ourselves and family — our heart is hospitality, Tori said. “We have a permanent guest room that won’t ever change into a kid’s bedroom because we want people to feel like they’re always invited and welcome. We’re always thinking of community, even down to the couch we picked out, so we can host holidays with our loved ones.”

Building their home from the ground up, they’ve added some unique features that give a personal touch to their home.

“We love the modern aspects of a new build, but also love how a Tudor home brings character and coziness,” Tori adds. “We love warm tones and neutrals that make you want to cuddle up with friends for a movie night or drink a glass of wine with someone.”

Below, find some of Tori and Chad’s favorite home items, as well as inspirational books they’ve read to strengthen their marital bond.

“I was buying Tori decorations for her Galentine’s Day celebration with her friends, and I was behind Rami Malek, the actor in the new James Bond,” Chad said. “I reached for these tiny hands in the impulse-buys section of the store, and I wasn’t more sure of anything in my life — I had to have them.”

Now, they are a staple in many of Tori + Chad’s sit-down videos.

“I love Downeast because the furniture is of amazing quality for a fairly affordable price,” said Tori. “It’s luxury home items, including decor, rugs and lights. We love the cloud chair — your whole body can cuddle up in there and it’s so cozy, it’s where it’s at.”

“I love, love, love volcano candles,” Tori said. “They’re a more expensive candle, but it’s the only candle you have to light because it’ll permeate the entire house and they smell so good.”

“I love my rose gold candle trimming set,” Tori said. “If you trim the wick of your candle, your candle will last longer and it won’t burn the black smoke.”

“When building our home, I put in invisible speakers that go inside the wall,” Chad said. “They’re actually inside the drywall and it’s something not a lot of people know about.”

“The Samsung Picture Frame TV is great and super thin,” Chad said. “It’s another future home favorite, for sure.”

“We’ve been loving Green Chef lately,” Tori said. “I’m not really a cook, but Green Chef is nice because I wouldn’t make any of those meals, partially because I wouldn’t go out and buy a full-size of the ingredients. It’s great for me to put my phone away, make dinner, and enjoy a meal together.”

“Tori and I have been doing these online workouts — she’s been doing hers with Open Fit,” Chad said. “It’s a great way to get some exercise at home.”

“The Contigo water bottle that keeps your water cold for 24 hours is really cool,” Chad said. “Ever since we’ve been trying to become pregnant, we’ve been drinking more water, so it’s been important to us.”

“We love Shun knives and most people don’t know this, but most knife injuries are from dull knives,” Chad said. “A good knife makes a world of difference.”

“We love Magnolia Network with Chip and Joanna Gaines and we’re super jacked on that,” Chad said. “We subscribe to their network because it’s all about sharing stories worth telling.”

“I love my Nespresso coffee maker — it’s just the best,” Chad said.

“We also have a Philips coffee maker and what’s cool about it is that you can put in whole beans and it will make any drink you want — cappuccino, latte, macchiato — and it’ll even make hot water for tea and froth milk,” Chad said.

“I love our toilet paper holder because it has a spot for your phone up top,” Tori said. “I’ll go to the bathroom with my phone — let’s be real — so it’s nice and practical.”

“I love leather goods, including my Bullstrap phone case,” Chad said. “I don’t want a plastic case or an Otterbox; I like minimal, sleek-looking products, and Bulstrap makes great gifts.”

“We love our Bose headphones,” Tori said. “We use them for everything, from editing to walking on the treadmill.”

Chad has the black pair of headphones, if you’re looking to shop something sleek and modern. “They’re not clunky, either, and they stay on your head,” he adds.

“I love my Amazon slippers,” Tori said. “I’ve worn them to death and they’re so soft.”

“Alabaster Co. has these coffee table books and we love them — they’re all over the house,” Tori said. “They’re conversation pieces, they’re beautiful and meaningful, and a great way to read scripture.”

“We love Francis Chan’s book because it acknowledges that you can be unhappy, disagree, and have arguments, but marriage is about forgiveness and learning how love is at the center.”

“’The Meaning of Marriage‘ was good for us to understand what marriage actually is versus what it isn’t,” Chad said.

“’The War Room‘ is a great movie that reminds us that your spouse isn’t your enemy,” Chad said. “Any time we have conflict, our goal is to work as a team to resolve it. I’m not working against her, I’m working with her. Even if she’s totally wrong, it’s my job to be loving not to be right.”

“Everyone knows I love the Thrive Bible — I’m kind of known for it at this point,” Tori said. “It’s female-driven and has devotionals inside it, too.”

“’The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry’ was a huge game-changer for me,” Tori said. ” The biggest portion of the book is how we idolize busyness in our lives, almost feeling like busyness is a form of success. Instead of technology being designed for a four-day workweek instead of five, it has turned into a 24/7 whirlwind of work.”

“’Rich Dad Poor Dad‘ completely changed my life,” said Chad. “If your family is wealthy, you learn to practice wealth. This book isn’t just about getting wealthy, but about how to accumulate wisdom and knowledge. It breaks down how people teach their children and what to do with that. It made me more of a free-thinker, which I appreciate.”

“So many people struggle with people-pleasing — myself included — and there are boundaries in dating, in work, and in relationships,” said Chad.

“‘Boundaries‘ is a very easy read and so practical,” Tori adds. “The authors take you through case studies of patients of theirs and show you all different ways of how people struggle with it.”

“‘Atomic Habits‘ shows you how to discipline yourself — ‘habit-stacking’ — before you get to the point of burnout,” said Chad. “Instead of saying, ‘I want to go to the gym,’ it teaches you to say ‘I’m going to wake up,’ then ‘I’m going to lay my workout clothes out.’ You become your habits, you become what you do.”

“’The Best Yes‘ is amazing for people-pleasers and I also just love TerKeurst and how she writes,” Tori said. “I did an entire video on that book and went through it. Every time you say yes, you’re saying no to all these other things, so making sure your ‘yes’ is the best one for you is important.”

“’Sex and Money‘ by Paul David Tripp is about how a large portion of society thinks their pursuit of money and sex makes them free, but shows how faith can make you free, in contrast to the thought that people are ‘bound to religion,'” Chad said.

“’A Severe Mercy‘ is really good because it follows a love story with an atheist couple who has an encounter with C.S. Lewis,” Tori said. “There’s a lot of tragedy and triumphs and it shows how there’s mercy in the pain and suffering — and how that brings you closer to the heart of God.”

Tori adds it’s great for people who aren’t into self-help books but want more of a narrative. She even gave the book to a few people as a Christmas gift.

“Something I’m obsessed with and will use forever is the St. Tropez tanning mousse,” Tori said. “I was really weird with self-tanners — I didn’t use them through pageant days at all — but after testing it for a couple of months, I was like, ‘Wow, it’s an instant confidence boost.”

“Something I’ve been using for six years is the It Cosmetics CC Cream,” Tori said. “I’ve tried so many other foundations and I always go back to that one. It has coverage but it’s very natural and covers what I need it to cover.”

“When I worked in the modeling industry, I had to afford ‘better’ skincare, but it’s hard to afford it all the time,” Chad said. “I love Cremo because it’s a one-stop-shop where I can buy moisturizer, shaving cream, beard shaper, or even a brush or a trimmer — and I can afford to continue to buy it.”

“I was influenced to buy Billie razors and I will never go back to any other razor,” Tori said. “I don’t need the monthly shipment, but every other month works for me. It gives me the softest and most comfortable shave, which is great for my sensitive skin prone to razor burn.”

“To me, a watch isn’t a timepiece — it’s a piece of time,” Chad said.

My Tudor is a beautiful watch but what’s cool is that it has bronze features,” he said. “The style of home we’re building is a modern Tudor which will have bronze features, too. So, when we have kids one day, this is going to be ‘the watch daddy got whenever he got his first home.’”

It’s a timeless watch with sentimental value. “That’s how he hooked me to pay for it,” Tori adds. “The fact that he wanted things to pass down one day.”

“I got my Cartier watch when I got married because Cartier was the brand worn by kings and queens,” Chad said. “So naturally, it fits with the whole wedding theme of courtship. The watch was made in my birth year and it has a blue gem that matches my blue eyes. So, because it’s been on earth for the same time as me and has the whole blue thing going on, it was perfect.”

This watch is similar to the one-of-a-kind vintage one Chad has.

“We work with Give Better, which is like a GoFundMe, but for charities,” Chad said. “What’s really cool about that is how people can see the impact their small monthly donations are making, like providing for women who can’t feed their children or others who can’t pay their bills.”

Give Better has about four projects a month, and each project has a different beneficiary, so you can give to them as a whole or you can pick a specific one that pulls at your heartstrings. “You can even give $5 but it’s really cool to see where your money is going and what it’s doing,” Tori adds. “A ton of nonprofits went out of business because they couldn’t have their fundraising events, and Give Better is great to highlight some of these organizations.”

“We love supporting Hope for the Heart because it equips people with resources for suicide prevention,” Chad said. “Something people discount way too much is the impact quarantining and isolating has had on their mental health. Knowing what to do to help people who think self-harm is a potential solution is important to us.”
