Easter egg hunt: There will be two Easter egg hunts, from 9 to 10 a.m. or 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Willmar Public Library. Hunt for eggs around the library, play with rabbits, and say hi to the Easter bunny. Advance registration is required on the library website. Limit of 50 kids per session and five eggs per child. Bring your own basket.
May Day celebration: 1 to 3 p.m. April 30 at the Litchfield Opera House for children ages 3 through third grade. Make a May Day basket, dance around the maypole, plant a flower, crafts and decorate a cookie. Cost of $1 per child, who must be accompanied by an adult or responsible older sibling.
Willmar area community tree planting project: A variety of bare-rooted shade trees will be given away beginning at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, April 24, in the Vinje Lutheran Church parking lot in Willmar. It will be a drive-through pickup and planting information will be attached.
